Forthcoming from Oshun: My Success, Your Success for Women Entrepreneurs

My Success, Your SuccessJoan Joffe, Gloria Serobe, Ina Paarman, Basetsana Kumalo, Carrol Boyes, Jane Raphaely. What a glorious line up of successful women entrepreneurs this list is.

These remarkable women are also contributors to Jane Notten’s new book, My Success, Your Success: Top tips from South African women entrepreneurs.

How well they know that setting up a company or a small business is not without its challenges – from drawing up a business plan, budgeting and hiring staff, to securing finance. Yet in 2006, the South African Global Entrepreneurship Monitor revealed that, on average, women entrepreneurs are faring better than men in this country – which means that women are set to make a major contribution to our economic growth.

My Success, Your Success contains in-depth interviews with 26 women from South Africa who have taken the brave step – often against immense odds – to set up their own companies or small businesses and are now riding the wave of their success. Engaging in enterprises ranging from plumbing, marketing and public relations to global financial services, the successes (and sometimes failures) of these women serve to inspire and guide others who are thinking of taking that big step onto the entrepreneurial stage.
