Zoë Wicomb to Read at the University of Stellenbosch this Week

Zoë Wicomb, acclaimed writer and Professor Extraordinaire in Stellenbosch University’s English Department, has attracted international attention since her first book, You Can’t Get Lost in Cape Town, appeared in 1987.

Of her book, David’s Story, JM Coetzee said, “…it is a tremendous achievement in the remaking of the South African novel”; and most recently, her fiction featured at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) conference last October.

Don’t miss a rare reading from this celebrated literary figure in Stellenbosch this week. Wicomb will read from her latest collection of stories, The One That Got Away:
